I asked the property manager of my old apartment complex if I could sink steel poles into my parking space so I could do just that.

For some reason she thought I was kidding.

LOL!

I dont see this preventing theft much.. maybe besides the loud noise the front bumper would make when coming off
a boot looks and would work much better

I can imagine the pole come falling down and smash the windshield.

But in broad daylight....I don't think that would pass over so well. I'd sure be suspicious if I saw some guy cutting a lock on a car. I'd ask him wtf he's doing.

Exactly..not everyone in this world cares about our cars as much as we do. Most people just look the other way, cause they're too scared to do anything. Or that they could give a crap about getting involved. Just mho

I have something like that on the bottom of my race car.. Lets just say it would be a little hard to drive away with a huge hole in teh gas tank... Plus its under the car so no one would really notice it tell it was to late.

You know the sad part about it is they would cut the pole and probably leave the locking device there while taking the car.

News taken from across the nation:
"Police all over the U.S. and some oversea have responded to hundreds of fighting over poles that locate near parking spaces. It turn out that these drivers were fighting over the parking spaces right in front of the poles so that they can put locks around the poles and lock it to their tow hooks. One interesting fact, 90% of these motorists drive Integra Type R cars who told the police that they since their cars are magnets to thieves, they should be given the rights to park in front of the poles..." Stay turn for more news on this...
