hey we just put together a b20vtec and it has so much oil pressure that it is blowing of the the oil filter seal

this recently happened after we changed the piston rings any one has any insight

if u need me to put more information i will

 

what piston rings are you running?

How is the surface where the oil filter seal sits?

no, only one it kept blowing of on the dyno, we checked and double checked

its sitting on a golden eagle kit

we are using je piston/rings

oil also seeps out by the head gasket near the dizzy,

note. this happened just recently, the motor was running fine before, but it had a bit of piston slap, we removed the head and the pistons and installed new rings with a tighter gap, we are now running 14/16 on the gap

 

What kind of PCV system are you running?

Possible the plate could be warped? Bad plate maybe?

 

how much oil pressure are you getting? Did the oil feed line to the head get kinked?

 

Your relief valve in the oil pump is stuck.

 

thats what some one at the shop suggested about the relief valve, i think we are running a z10 pcv system
