K20 tranny on K24?
im trying to make a K20 tranny work on a K24 block.
i noticed that one of the k20 tranny bolts being WAY off and not useable.
but i also noticed the k20 intermediate shaft (half-shaft) not being able to line up on the k24 block as well.
will this work?
what do i need to make it work if it will?
thanks

it will work... sure a few hole are not used, but the tranny will get attached.
The flywheel will be exposed.. just use the $9 EP3 tranny cover found in honda parts online under clutch...
I am using a k20a tranny on my tsx motor and I have attached an ep3 tranny on another k24a motor, so yeah.. it will work.
Instead of worrying about the holes, make sure the dowel pins line up and go for it..
Also do not forget to use the bearing ring
Now I am almost ready to attach the tranny... Just need 3 things...
a tranny...

as you can see the hasport mount and karcepts.com bracket are attached to the tranny.. makes it easier to move around
2 dowel pins to secure the tranny with the block

and this ring that the manual actually kind of fails to mention... It does but it is not vey clear...
it needs to be pushed it to accept the main tranny shaft

It was pretty easy to install the tranny on the block since the block did not have the head yet on it, so it was easy to manuever..
here's how it looks attached

I used a rsx type s halfshaft and it worked. Maybe you have the wrong halfshaft?
MOst people use rsx halfshafts and they are fine but sometimes when you buy used parts, they give you the wrong part
