RUNNING NO DUMPTUBE............. KILLING PERFORMANCE???
I HAVE a h22 turbo prelude with a drag 2 mani where the wastgate sits upside down and i dont have a dumptube on it yet.... i was wondering if this is a bad thing to run the car with no dumptube??? will this make a big difference???
you are blowing exhaust gas into your engine bay.. exhaust gas is not what you want in your intake charge..

it will affect it. civicflnum1 on here had his open as well too. the car was fast but just didn't seem to hit hard. he routed the dumptube out of the way of the inlet of the turbo. the car was 10x more responsive, broke tires loose like hell, killed many women and children, all kinda stuff. well i'm exaggerating just a little bit but yeah... it makes a noticeable difference

there is a great article on by jeff evans at evans tuning about it. dyno graph comparo and everything. after seeing that, i went right out into the garage and routed my dump tube differently.

it isnt detrimental to the engine, but it is like running an EGR. get it as far away from the air inlet as you can.
