Default RSR Exhaust?

Wasn't quite sure whether this should be posted here or in the classifieds area, so mods please feel free to move this thread if it is in the wrong place.

Now my question is who got their RS*R EXMag exhaust for 96-98 EK Coupes cheaper than $493 (GroupBuyCenter.com)?

When I was looking for one I decided that an Apexi WS is probably a better choice because they're much cheaper, are also quiet, and are fully stainless steel. I love the look of the RSR though.

My friend's used to rub somewhere on his teg, but it was fixable. I didn't end up buying one for my Si so I dunno about that. Btw, the WS looks great if you spray the muffler black like the RSR.

I really like the stealth look and sound of the RS*R just looking for the cheapest price. I also was considering the Apexi NOIR Muffler as well but wanted a complet Cat-Back system as opposed to just the muffler.

Is it a sure thing that the Apexi WS2 rubs on sway bars because that was my second choice and I curently have a ASR/22mm Combo and am considering upgrading to the 32mm bar on my EK Coupe

I know it rubs on Integras, but it was fixable. Both my exhausts have rubbed on my Si (Tanabe Super Hyper Blah Blah Medallion and Mugen Twinloop) so I dunno, I feel like rubbing is always a risk. You just gotta get under the car and see where there's metal on metal and take care of it if ya can...kinda sucks.

Where exactly did it rub on your Si?

Both of them rubbed against my lower control arm...if I raised the car it probably wouldn't be a problem. There also appears to be a spot at about the middle of the car where it rubs on a heatsheild. I think that's where the Apexi was rubbing on my friend's teg, cos he said he fixed it by taking a rubber mallet to whatever piece of metal was touching the pipe.

I think you'll be happy with whichever you go with My friend had the RS-R on his Prelude (one of the originals before they started doing canisters only) which was the same as the ExMag they sell now, and it sounded awesome. My friend's Apexi also sounds great and he has his muffler painted black so it gives a similar stealth look to the RS-R. I think these two systems are the best street exhausts available, along with the Mugen Twinloop.
