Default Is this a good HID kit?

I was looking at this HID kit http://www.xenondepot.com/prod...id=26 is it a good kit to go with or is it one of the ones I'm going to have die in a few months to a year? Would I be better off to buy the Phillips one even though they don't come in the color temp I really want?

Any of you guys use this kit? If so how is it?

If you're going to get XenonDepot's kit, get the regular one: here

I've had their kit for 3 years almost. No problems...

What color temp did you get? Do you have any pictures of it? How much better was it than regular bulbs?

Who makes the kit they sell I posted? I noticed it's a lot cheaper and assumed they make it or do they and it just a new kit?

You said if your going with Xenon Depot. Is that saying you'd reccomend going with something else?

I have the 4300k kit. I don't care for bluish or purpleish headlights. My headlights are a perfectly clear white. There is no comparison between these and regular halogen bulbs. Sorry, I don't have any pics.

I do not know who makes the Xtreme kit, but AFAIK, the components are some off-brand. The regular kit uses Philips ballasts and bulbs. The Xtreme kit is actually the newer one on the site, but is more about color than output quality.

I'm not recommending anything actually. I'm quite happy with the XenonDepot kit in my factory housings. My friends tell me that I do not have any more glare than normal, although I'm not sure why. My headlights are NOT aimed low at all. In fact, they're probably slightly high.

My ultimate recommendation would be a retrofit. Why? The even beam pattern that you see with TSXs or S2000s... But it's really up to you on how much you want to spend, if you want to deal with glare, etc. That's why I'm not recommending anything at all.

you mean real HID projectors?

No they won't fit because they're rebased. And regulars won't work because their light output won't match the reflective properties of the HID projector plus they're not specially based.
