any one ever install a set of aftermarket power door lock acuators?

there fairly cheap ?

any info would be cool

 

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? If so its very easy. If not, you'll have to buy a keyless entry unit and wire that in too.

 

i plan on getting a alarm soon and was just wondering about options on just th epower door locks/keyless entry

 

With most alarms, you'll need a relay and 2 actuators. DEI sells a relay for door locks, i think its the 451m, but not 100% sure on the model number. That relay will plug into the alarm brain, and needs power and ground, then wire both acutators to it. Then mount the actuators on the doors behind the door panel, and connect it to the door lock rod. Put your doors back together and you're done.

 

once you install the alarm, the door lock actuators are really easy to install. they run something like $20 a piece if i remember correctly.
