Is it just me?
Or is this site slowly being taken over by non owners?
The last ten posts i read are not r guys just seems strane they all seem to be coming here? Or i could be on crack as well....

i'm close to an R, even have the shell of a teg, but no matter what i swap i will never be an actual R. It saddens me deeply.
But i post in here and surf through here casue theguys are really helpful and it is an R motor in my car so were dealing with the same powertrain you guys are.

Hmmmm. All in all I thing the Type-R forum is one of the most informative on HT. Heck, go one forum up to the regular Integra section. The only concern in there is 'mad tight vtec LS swaps', 'how low will my car be if I cut three coils off my springs', and 'I was in my DA and raced this bitch in a minivan...'
The people that comprise the Type-R forum are technical in general and when people want anwers they are more than likely going to come here.

Your going to have to defne ITR ownership, does any itr product count? So if i get a itr exhaust i'm allowed to post?

exactly i agree, but some of my tech threads get moved to hybrid beasue i'm technically a r swap even though its in a teg chasis.
I get so much help here and its a great place to come with motor problems, but some dont understand that.
They think just because i dont have the r vin i' shouldnt be here, but i have the same powertrain and problems as you guys.

No, it isn't just you.
If anything I see alot more hybrid questions posted by newbs and or other questions that can be answered by using the FAQ and search. But I think there are two reasons for this: 1) more of us have been selling our R's in the last few years and there are fewer R owning members active here & 2) since there at one time used to be a wealth of knowledge here and a newer member might even look through the archives they will tend to post where they will either get quick results or decent information.
I understand that many people own hybrids and that's all well and good but it might be a good idea to post at least the results of hybrid issues research and or solved or discussions here in their respective forum to continue to build a knowledge base there.
IE there was an issue in the past few years with post titles that either weren't clear or just plain sucked. Several mods took time and went through multiple posts to make the titles clear enough to work properly with the SEARCH function. It's entirely possible that other forums that are part of HT have similar issues and or also don't have helpful members that inhabit said "other" forums.
As well, the season is getting warmer and of course the boys are out there working on their cars, and with that comes Alot more questions and many times newer members with the same old questions. It's just the cycle of things.
Many times hybrid questions come with alot of assumptions and or just not enough given information from the post originator. You can spend a few posts spinning your gears trying to figure stuff out when many of us here are assuming that we are dealing for the most part with a factory built car with mostly factory related issues and histories. What Joe Schmoe built in his backyard could be a complete nightmare and not worth the effort and time to post and resolve why his Vtech doesn't engage only when he makes right hand turns on rainy odd days of the month when the moon is full.

Depends on the question/thread that a non-ITR owner is posting. If it is relavant and informative then it shouldn't matter who posts it. Subjects that are beaten to death are just plain annoying sometimes. There are plenty of FORMER ITR owners on here; which is super cool. The community aspect is what keeps me coming back.
There are plenty of ITR owners that post up dumb-*** threads and, in turn, there are non-ITR owners that have info or suggestions that are top notch.

I wasn't responding about or to you.
I've seen trends like this come and go for the last 7 years on car forums from both sides of the fence being a member or a mod.
Makes no difference to me, I avoid topics I don't like, or at most report topics that are either blatantly OT or violate the guidelines or TOS. Within my sarcasm, I try to help as much as possible or at least point in the right direction, because in the end we were all new once and needed at least a bit of help.
If it wasn't for at least 5 to 6 key people I've met over the years through HT and owning the R I wouldn't currently know how to work on or be able to fugg up my own car and definitely wouldn't have started autocross or HPDE's.

The bottom line is that the party is over. No more, DC2 no more DC5, no more NSX, that's it, kapputt!
Welcome to the brave new world of the '06 SI and TSX. Acura has finally shunned it's Integra stepchild and is moving decidely upmarket. I mean, seriously guys acura Integra's were never much more luxurious than they're loaded up Civic and Accord counterparts with which they shared the market.
This place and itrca will probably keep the expo's going for some years to come. But eventually 95% of the original landscape of this place will disappear.
There are still a few knowledgable guys around here which helps the new owners out. But most of the hardcore guys have faded into the background.
