Whats with all this sudded "technical forum" crap. Some guy just locked one of my threads with pics of my totalled teg. Whats the deal? Its an INTEGRA. This is a INTEGRA forum. Whats the problem? Ok, we were technically observing the crush points on the car.... Your probably gonna yell at me now for not putting this in the members corner, right?....cause Im just blowing off steam? Ohh wait....You locked that too. Honda-tech is cool cause you can get technical info, but ALSO shoot the **** with other cool guys around here. Do we really want this to be a dry as sand forum with 0 personality or character? I dont.

O come on guys, I totally understand what you mean Gmoore. I remember right when I came to this forum I got harassed for something stupid. Really pissed me off. Lately I'm seeing all sorts of stupid judgements by the mods on here. Just like Gmoore said, h-t is the best forum for imports online because we have the knowledge, but we also have a fun time on here. Lets not make it "dry as sandpaper!!"

This forum is for TECHNICAL discussion, NOT to shoot the ****. I think a forum that doesnt include "My boys Neon beat me!" and "My girl thinks my bumper is fugly" is HARDLY "dry as sandpaper". Lets talk about cars!

 

Man, a lot garbage has been going on HT since I've been gone for over a month. This drama needs to cease.

BTW, I'm getting married next year... she wants me to sell my car... You don't see me crying about it.

agreed but i am getting tired of decisions made by some of the mods. but i agree w/ them on most of the **** they lock. they do good house cleaning but they do make mistakes once in a while. but hondatech overall is informative and fun. just think before you post and think before you lock. later guys

 

I agree with you. We should talk about cars, hell, we love cars, thats what were all about. But, some of us have other things on our minds. Which is why they created the Members Corner. I quote-

Well, we have no place to talk about these "other things" now. If we continue this path we ARE going to become the "sandpaper" forum. H-T can be technical even with the Members Corner, thats what it is, a corner for us to talk about other ****. The other 15 (?) forums are for the technical stuff. Is that really too much to ask? Ohh, and what was with that "No more sex or drugs" thread? Maybe you didnt want it posted for one reason or another, but then why the hell would you even start making the thread? And we all know where you were going with it. But why? Whats with all this sudden sugar coating? This is the Internet, this is America. The harsh reality is, we are full of ****, we are all weird, some of us are scammers, some of are **** freaks. Why get rid of the members corner because its WILL contain REAL LIFE issues, IE- sex, and drugs. This isn't the family channel.

Nice reply gmoore. Like he said, this is the internet, and we had a specific section for talking about whatever we want basically. Why try and limit what we can talk about. Will it really do any harm? This isn't a website for young kids, we aren't this isn't the disney channel. We still have great technical info flurishing throughout the site...

 

Why would you close such a thread? I want to know! Isnt a Forum where others can come and express their feelings about each others cars and get others' opinions. It seems like every thread is being locked now for the dumbest reasons. We are here to enjoy the site..not to ask questions and not get them answered and have it locked. I use this site maybe 2-3 times a week and i have gained a lot of knowledge from it. Do not close threads unless it is not "Integra" related or other topics for other cars. It is a very useful site and I would not want to have it shut down for good. I have met a lot of cool people from this site and also moderators. The meets are always fun to go to because you get to meet people that enjoy the same things you do on their free time. Everyone just chill and enjoy a TECH rules!

 

Look...all we do is follow what we feel is right, and enforce the basic rules and principles the forum was built upon.

And that is TECHNICAL discussion. The reason I took it that MC was locked is because it attracted people to HT for the PURPOSE of MC, not for technical discussion. These people spilled onto the technical forums, and everything started filling up with **** because of the people who came to HT just to use MC...and thats not what HT or MC was designed for.

Again, this really isnt up for discussion...Im not trying to be a dick, and in fact, I was the one who felt your thread was allowable and had it unlocked. The fact of the matter is, this forum is for technical discussion. It has nothing to do with America or the Internet...there is no freedom of speech, and there is no democracy. The creators of HT want the board to be tech oriented, and many members dont agree...these members who dont see eye to eye with that notion can either deal with it or leave.

If they cant deal with it, they arent the type of enthusiast that the forum was created for, and they gladly can go visit http://www.clubsi.com for all of their technical and off-topic needs.
