diagnosing timing issue??

Default diagnosing timing issue??

quick qustion how would i tell if my timing was off by a tooth? heres the deal when i crank the key it takes about 5 secs for it to actually start. on a cold start it idles high around 1200 rpm till it warms up then idles fine. the car runs fine but dosent seem that fast just wondering if these are symptoms of timing issue. the engine is obd1 jdm h22 into civic ek. thanks guys
