I ordered my new si and it won't be in until the end of July, but in the meantime, I have to drive a beater civic around that won't pass inspection. Now is the question, do I drive it uninspected and take my chances, or do I spend the extra $XXXX to get it inspected? Anyone know anyone around the West Chester area that can hook me up?

There is no need for that, just say get a temporary registration and leave it at that. Otherwise log off and take your **** someplace else, this isn't a place for Juvenal kids to act all tough online.

Wow. What a person. Anyway, to the other guys, how would I go about doing this and how long would I be able to get the temporary, not temperary as the scholar has pointed out, registration?

sorry i didnt mean that. its just that some stupid mod keeps banning me for no reason. i got banned like 7 times already
for temporary tags you tell the dmv people you need to get your muffler fix but you have no money. they still make you pay registration but they give you a thing to put on your car. then when it expires you go back and tell them the exact same thing. i did that twicce and it was the same lady! she was like "hey i was the one that gave you this you didnt fix your muffler yet" im like "no i need more time"

Ok. Thanks for the help. I just got the car registered and titled yesterday. Should I go back and tell her I can't get it inspected until I get some more cash?

No No No. Listen ok. Last night I registered and titled the car. The registration is good until 4/07. I NEED to get it inspected. I am asking what to do about inspection, not registration. The only reason I brought up registration is because you guys told me to get a temp registration. What do I need to do?
when you get it registered they should give you a pink slip giving you 14 days to get your car inspected if you dont have one go to the dmv and ask for one say that you need some time to get the cash to buy something so you can pass inspection

the only time you need inspection is when changing titles or when your registration expires. if your car is registered uintil 4/07 but it needs inspection, you dont even need to get it inspected until march or april of 07. for example i bought a car it was reg until june of 06. i paid for changing titles and it needed smog. this was in feb. i didnt get it smog until recently, so i could get the title in my hand and and renewed the reg until 07. the only reason for inspection is if they have something you need like a new title or new reg. if you have the title and registration there's no need to get inspection cuz even if you dont they cant do **** about it. get what im saying? so you can wait as long as you want the main thing is to have updated stickers so you dont get pulled over. if in doubt go to dmv and tell them you can afford smog at the moment and can you hold off on it

I don't really understand what you are trying to say. Currently, the car does NOT have inspection stickers on it. I went to get it inspected today, because in PA, you need to have your vehicle inspected, and the guy told me that it would not pass due to many things. I do not know what to do. If a cop pulls me over and I do not have the car inspected, I WILL be given a ticket. I want to know what I can do so that I will not get a ticket. I guess I will just go to the auto tag place tonight and see what they can do for me. Any help would be appreciated.
