Care to explain? I have no idea what a "wicked expenisve line" is supposed to mean....or do you mean the regulator hose?
ESL?

No I live in Boston. Sorry.
My Smith gauges - both sets - have what almost the same symptoms as what is known in the turbo world as boost leak. My flow rate or my regulated pressure both creep up over a couple hours where I have to constantly turn down the pressure/rate. So then when I start over again the next day I'm at like 1 psi on the regulator and I have to turn them back up again.
There is my explaination. Sorry if I had offended anyone using Smith gauges. I'm just saying I'm not down with the gauge industry. I don't know if Smith has better gauges.

This happens when you leave the gauges open or when you close them ?

I have Harris gauges and one no name one on my welders. I like the Harris one better. It has a really nice big handle and just looks all around sweeter. It is the less leaky of the two.
