whats up i used to be a civic/crx guy but i sold all mine and picked up a cb7 93 dx 5spd well there is two lines as you see in the pic that are hooked to nothing what do they go to??? as for the car it does not run do to slipped timing and bent valve but thanks for any help...BTW i shearched but does anyone have a pic of how to do tdc like out of haynes or something thanks..

 

Damn makin a post already, you've only had the car like 10 seconds dang. My guess is to connect them together with another line. I have the haynes manual from my girlfriend if you need it cuz.

BINGO... didnt he notice the lack of ease turning the wheel?? well anyway, the dx didnt come with cruise, only the ex, and lx i belive... (could be wrong about the lx)

 

I believe that all accords 94 and newer came with PS....


How much you pay for that car?

You might want to check everything over. If the PS is missing, you may have to install a new rack depending upon how long it has not been lubricated by the PS fluid.

Find out what else is missing.......

 

no im pretty sure the lx came with cruise also,

didnt he say it doesnt run? he might not have had the opp to steer it

heh, when i got my cb7 i drove it 35 miles back to my house. i noticed that half the air filter was missing.... WTF!!!

i found the other half in the TB!!!

i would carefully inspect your car and make sure nothing else is amiss.

however, my 93 lx has power steering...pretty sure all 93 lx came factory with PS

EDIT: damn i cant read either, yours is a dx, they might not have came with PS, but i dont see why those hoses are just sitting there.

I think they did come with PS because of the majority of the weight on front wheels (engine and trans)

i think it did too, cause i doubt honda would just put two open lines there

 

This car did have power steering, but it was taken out by a previous owner.

 

why to fix it and he just never got to it of just for kicks and decided to leave the lines open? i say junk yard but thats my suggestion for everything lol

 

Yea he took it off for that "uber jdm weight reduction" you know how ricers are. He said it makes drag on the motor.

Isnt it really hard to drive without power steering? i thought almost all cars came with it from at least before 93

 

if your rack and pinion are meant for a PS unit then it is bad to drive without it since nothing isn getting lubricated by the PS fluid anymore.

 

The 93 LX does come fatcory with crusie control i have one. The only difference between the lx and ex is a sunroof from my understanding.

 

i took out my p/s on my 91 dx for the feel of turning cornors, not for weight reduction. that is a ghetto *** removal tho. u should just loop the lines at the rack or install a breather for it so its not so stiff. theres a diy on here in the integra section

92/93 lx and ex had cruise. I dont think the 90/91 came with it i could be wrong. Its pretty easy to drive as long as your moving. Standing still and turning you gotta put those muscles to work.

91 lx's come factory with p/s not cc.i've owned 2 91 lx's.
since were on this topic,does anyone know were is a good place to get a manual rack n pinion for a 91 cb7.i had p/s but the pump broke and im just gonna take the whole setup out and just put in a manual rack.
not for weight,to clean up the engine bay.
