HI there,
I got a straight 3'' all da way and I keep getting pulled over by cops for the sound, I was planing to put a restrictor, like A silencer cone type thing in the exhaust... or just fit a metal sheet with hole on it before the exhaust.

I know I will lose A LOT of power but in the street I dont care I dont race anyways.
Ill just remove the thing on the track.

My setup is a B18B with a T3 garrett.

Will this back pressure be bad for engine or turbo...

 

Just use a muffler.The makes it a lot quieter oddly enough.There are lots of cars making over 500 hp with a muffler.You won't make that with a t3 and a straight pipe.

 

you mean just a stock muffler or putting like a magnaflow exhaust or Dc or whatever ( if that is the case I got a 3'' magnaflow already )

 

i have always been curious what a Flowmaster sounds like on a honda..

you could always use a cutout so you can flip a switch for open exaust

 

Get 2 mufflers and stay away from flowmaster.

 

I have a Flowmaster on my CRX, had it for a long time. Louder than a Magnaflow, had a resonator put in, pretty quiet now. No big deal. Mine is 2 1/4" diameter, universal that was welded in.

 

You could try adding a chambered muffler to your 3" system, that would quiet it down a fair bit.

 

last time I heard a flowmaster on a honda it sounded terrible

 

flowmasters are just chambered mufflers...

my friend has a chambered muffler on his boosted b16 and its really quiet.
