auto shifting
i know ive seen one thread on here and it was off topic didn't get to finish it but the guy was talking about shifting his h23a auto transmission like a manual. is this safe and will it harm the tranny any if attempted on a 93si auto? what i mean is from a stop have the shifter in "1", rev to redline, shift to "2", rev, shift to "D3" and so on. the 1 2 d3 and d4 use the normal gears just in regular driving right, or is it special low tourqe gears only? also, could downshifting be done as well? in all of this im sure letting off the accelerator would be standard. kinda working like a clutchless dogbox sequential shifter like that chekslovakian guy custom made for his lude. would be great if it worked since my engine never revs past 5000 unless in 4th and to get there i have to be going 110+. would like to see the full potential of the 1500rpms ive never experienced. i will be searching the threads to find the post but since the post was o/t, and the search engine is less than efficient, it will be next to impossible to find. if someone remembers that thread can you post it and i will delete this one. ty
