ok.I bought this 00 civic ex auto tranny.maybe 3 weeks ago.
Noticed wen I bought it the shift mechanism thing would easily
Move.and after a few days.noticed it wuld catch d4,like inbetween
D4 and d3.it be hard to find it.
Park,reverse neutral was normal.

So I thought it was somthing with shifter box thing..its been years since I
Owned a auto honda.but like I mentioned before,the shifter moved very very
Easy.I thought was little odd.even my wife noticed and she berly knows how to
Drive.lol

Well I went to junkyard and bougt a shifter assembly.canged it out.
Now the shift handle feels normal.you can feel it stop at its spot.
But,from park to d4,d4 feels like neutral..no car movement.
But from park to d3 it drives..
What I don't get.I shifted from park to d3 then to d4 and yet it drives in d4.

When I bougt it had cel for 02 sensor,changed that and cleared..also a code 70..forgot what it
Was but I did look into it.well I also changed ecu. After I changed ecu.evything was
Fine for like 4 days..then a code 40.think it was lock up control system.

My friend sugested I test the soleniods to see if I heard a click.I did.and I did hear a click.

Well I just got it going again today.drove it..felt fine..no cels yet..

Other than the shifting from park to d4 with no movement..
But from park to d3,then to d4 it'll move..

Any ideas?should I adjust shift cable?yet if it was a shift cable,it'll be like that in evry gear ight?

yea....check the shift cable to see if its out of adjustment. search on here and itll pop up a page from the service manual how to do it. You want it in the middle of the two holes.
It fairly easy to do...
