Default :( H22A JUNK??

i have a 94 h22a accord. my oil pressure light was comin on at odd times so i changed the sensor. unfortunetely the light was still comin on after. i hooked up an oil pressure guage and the car runs about 5-7 psi cold(?) and 10-12 at all rpm's once its hot. i'm well aware of the fact that this is probably caused by spun bearings in the bottom end. however i hear no ticks tacks or clunk's comin from the bottom end. any idea's wtf could be going on?

change out your oil pump and see if that solves the problem

so is the gauge reading dropping accordingly with the light coming on? Your oil pressure sensor may be shorting to ground somewhere on the engine or frame.

if a bearing has spun you will know about it, it could just be excessively loose clearances with the bearings...

Hey man I'm from Ottawa and know a guy in Aylmer who could really help you out. I have a 92 Accord with the h22a swap and have taken it to him for tuning and anything else. E-mail me back or reply to this post if you want his #.

sounds like the oil pump might have crapped out. 5-7 psi cold and 10-12 hot? that's very strange, normally it's higher cold than hot.

haha, some chick posted that in this thread. I just reported it and it was deleted before most saw it. She posted the same thing in another thread which was reported as well. I think she has been banned now.

Definitely check the oil pump.
However, I had the same sort of problem (the low oil pressure) on my 94 H22 and after weeks of replacing eveything else, I finally tore the motor entirely down and found the crank bearings were shot. The car ran fine, it jsut had very low oil. No odd sounds or anyhting. I had to keep my foot on the gas at idle or it would die. Try the oil pump first, but the main bearings might be your problem.

if your gonna go ahead and put a oil pump on it you might as well put bearings in it since your already half way there
