i adjusted my valves to rid this valve ticking problem. (at around 1250rpm), it seems i have moved the tick from 1250 to 3000. any ideas? oh yeah. how did everyone adjust the intake valves, i had quite some difficulty because the fuel rail was in the way. thanks in advance.
All motors tick. It's a by-product of metal cams actuating metal rockers/rollers and metal valves under heavy spring rates. All my family's motors tick at idle, but you have to have your head under the hood to hear it, and you're using a stethoscope?!?!? Aren't you the guy that stalled his car in a deep puddle/lake?

yes, i stalled my car in water. the reason for the stethoscope was to ensure the ticking was the valves and not the injectors like someone else had mentioned. i understand all valves tick especially with a overhead cam type configuration. although i'm pretty certain this tick is louder than the norm. i can hear it from my drivers seat with the window down at about ~3000rpm.
