Default URGENT REPLY needed! - spark plug question 1.6 litre EG SI hatch (non vtec)

i just took out the old spark plugs and was about to put the new ones in and realised they are different.

They are both NGK-Rs but the old one says: BCPR7EVX 11 (blue color)

and the new ones say: ZFR6F 11 (green color) ( given to me by honda technician )

are the new ones safe to use on the 1.6 litre non vtec?

thanx in advanced

I hope he didnt misunderstand me. He might of thought it was for a 1.6 litre vtec. Mine is more the ZC engine that came out on the civic Si 1992-1995 EG hatch models. Its got a black rocker cover.

Clean the old ones, and put them back in for the time being.

Did u throw the old ones out already? I don't see how it could hurt u that badly....but if ur that concerend about it I would make sure they're the same size and only drive it tomorrow and call the dealership AS SOON as they open and change it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE....but u can prolly deal with the old ones for now..until you get clarification on the other ones...but like I said..I don't think it'll make a difference, I mean ur not drag racing or anything, it's a air tight chamber with a spark, the explosion really can't change....it's the same ammount of chemicals u can't detonate them differently....I doubt it wouldn't be fine as long as they're the same width and fit in the holes (and most of them are (5/8 I believe)) --- But u should be alright

Hit the ends of them up with scotchbrite or steel wool. It will polish all the carbon build up and put them back in.

This is what I found doing a search for that part number. Seems those were for H and F series in the accord and prelude.

does your engine not have the spark plug label on the timing belt cover? if so it should be listed there what it needs.
