Default 90 accord with 228,000 miles wit a couple of problems

yea my moms just brought a 90 accord ex from sum *** whole for 1300 without letting me look at it first the sport shift light is blinking and i drove it and realize that it shifts from 1st and skips all the way to 4th i also noticed that there was no engine breaking when i threw it down to 1 when i throw it in 2nd you can feel it a little bit engine of breaking and theres nothing happening in 3rd. the other problem is that it smokes (blue smoke) when u floor it the smoke doest start tell u hit 5 grand and up i know that its oil burning i talked to tech about and he said its prob oil seals and stuff so he gave me sum leak stopper/smoke stopper and recommend to use 20 -50w oil so it'll reduce oil by passing wateva seals if it doesnt stop i guess we gotta rebuild the motor.

Jumper the Blue 2 pin connector under the glovebox above the kick panel; turn on the key and count the flashes of the 'S' light. It sounds like a bad solenoid on the trans

In addition to what he said......

Also check the condition of the trans fluid....now might not be a bad time to change out all of the various fluids such as

brake
coolant
engine oil
trans fluid

also not a bad time to visually inpect the car either.

If the car is in descent shape you might make it to 350-400K plus miles

P.S. might also want to invest in some English language skills so you appear to be more intelligent.......

wow sounds like you got issues,,,,,,,,,,

before rebuilding the motor i would replace the valve seals ...

and forget all that mickey mouse leak stopper ,,it does not work ..
if you do need to rebuild the motor ,,you will never get out of the car what you will put into it..
And we do not know yet what is the problem with the tranny , waiting for you to post the code ,,

Well you probably found the reason for the blinking S light. Your speed sensor is probably taking a crap at the moment. So your TCU has no idea what gear to tell the trans to shift to.
But as far as the overall value of the car compared to the problems you described it doesn't sound like it was too good of a deal.
And like Accord-pro said. Don't bothor with the crappy leak stoppers. That just makes it worse.

Yeah not just his car either. Sounds like he needs to head back to English class in middle school.
