I need serious help! I live in California and I own a 90 integra with a 97 B20B. I went to several local smog stations yesterday and to my dismay, no one would smog my car. They said that the engine in my vehicle was not from an integra and it was a 2.0, not a 1.8 that originally came in that vehicle. I changed all the sensors from the stock 1990 OBD0 LS over to the B20. Everything runs perfect and the check engine light is off and operational. This sucks! What should I do?
talk to someone at the department of motor vehicles. I dont see why a perfectly clean running motor would be turned down for a test, even when it isn't the stock motor. I dont know your state laws, is it illegal in your state to alter a vehicle in that way? Even if it is, keep going to different smag stations until you find someone who will do it.
There is no way they are gotta smog your car because that motor belong to a little suv, even if you take it to the REF they will say the same ****. So if I was you go find someone that will cheat smog for you.
