Default soft gas pedal....adjusted throttle cable..what else?

after swapping a b16a2 into my 96 ek..using the b16 throttle cable. the gas pedal is very soft. you can press it, and feel like it's pressing nothing. I tried adjusting the throttle cable nuts under the hood but didn't do much. any suggestions?

Opposite, DX is way to long becuase of the funky manifold. Thats odd that you have alot of play, i think you have the wrong throttle cable. Try getting your hands on EX, another B16, LS, Type R, any 92-95 throttle cable. What bracket are you using?

You get someone to watch the throttle body, you step on the gas and they tell you how much the throttle opened. If it's not opening all the way, you tighten the cable some more. Honda has a real procedure for it but, it's not that hard to do by feel. If you can't get it tight enough, you might need to get a different bracket (bolts to intake manifold).

So, does the throttle butterfly open all the way when you floor the pedal?
