d15b2 and d16y8 head CR
After searching on d-series.org i found a page that stated the compression ratio using everything d15b2(block/pistons..) and a d16y8 head would give about a 10.5:1 CR. I am assuming thats with 1 y8 metal head gasket. I know this is awesome of a ratio for N/A power but it seems like with that much compression tuning of the ecu and fuel pressure is required.
Would using 2 y8 headgaskets bring it down around to 10.1:1 as that seems safer or no?

Not at all, I have the same setup with a single y8 head gasket. You will have to get an adjustable cam gear to help even things out. I run the cam gear retarted about 1/2 tooth and then the distributer advanced to compensate but still a little retarded.
Initially I had the cam gear advanced and the distributer retarded all the way but it ping'd like crazy.

I'm gonna do a compression test in the next week or so to verify cause I plan on doing a low boost setup in the next few months. But yeah, no tuning involved. I am using a stock pm6 right now until I can get it chipped to correct the fuel map when vtec is engaged.
