got the car runnin but serious problems :-(
Ok so i spent the last month buying new parts and putting them on and doing this and that to my motor to get it to run, today i got the intake manifold gasket which made it run...it idles and all but heres my problem...when it idles it sounds like its idleing high...maybe its just me...and then when i put it into gear it doesnt move an inch...the tranny doesnt grind or anything goes into gear smoothly...but the car just wont move...is it the clutch?....and then as it idles it will almost stall then run fine then almost stall and run fine....whats my issue here?...i need help i got my liscence later this month and i need this car to run fine....let me know thanx
well i put the e-brake down but the e-brake light never went off and it never does...but when i put the ebrake down i can push the car so i dont think that is the issue....would the clutch possibly be fried that bad?...and its been sittin for a while
i can smell somthing burning but i think the old motor was beat on before and this is the clutch from that motor so the clutch might be shitty....but yea somthing is burning i figured it was oil or somthing on my header
its the tps sensor...its a code 7 which is the tps sensor i believe...correct me if im wrong....so thatll end my idle problems....what about the car not moving?

1. if the gear goes in , the car should move even if it has an electrical problem
2. if the e brake was a problem the car would shut off due to the transmission holding back the engine.
3. you have now pinppointed the problem. it resides in your drivetrain.
a. the clutch/pressure plate might be gone.
b. the drive axles might be messed up
c. the transmission might be gone
*the best steps to take is to first check if your drie axles are being obstructed.
*if the drive axles are dont move then you should open up the transmission.
*if the problem is not from the engine to the transmission it has to be between (i.e. clutch, pressure plate, flywheel.)
before you go through all this trouble make sure the clutch releases where the cable meets the tranny from the clutch pedal. if that is not engaging, it can be that you busted the throw-out bearing.
