Default getting turbo and keeping it legal to pass TX emmisions? 99si

well i really want to get boost again. i had a greddy kit installed on my old other 2000 ex, but that car is gone now. I have a 99si and i want to turbo it. But how can I keep it street legal.. I would love to get as close as I can to 300whp with a stock motor and a good tune and GT30R turbo.

But from my understanding the only way to get this kinda power us to run a OBD1 chipped ECU. Even if I have todo this, is there anyway to put OBD2 ECU and pass emissions without screwing **** up?

At this point I tihnk im just going to get a greddy kit and run the blue box and deal with 230whp or whatever it puts out. Whatever the max I can get with the bluebox and be safe.

Any suggestions besides getting a swap or get a new car?

and my SI only has 27k miles on it. its been well kept by the previous owner. i got lucky and found it with 15k miles about 8 months ago.

In theory, you could, if they didn't pop your hood. Electronics would be an issue I would imagine, they would notice.
