HELP! Turbo for 2000GSR
i know that greddy kits 98-99 are carb legal, but they dont make one for the 00 gsr. Of course i can just put together somthing and extend or reduce the pipes to make it fit on my 00GSR. But before i do that do you guys know any other kits that are reliable and some what eaiser to pass smog in cali with (if at all possible)? From what I heard the greddy can run saftely with stock internals at 7psi is that true? I'm trying to decide on a boost application (jackson sc or turbo) anything would help. As bad as it sounds, I hope to run about 200whp with stock internals, is that possible? Of course eventually I'll get some internal stuff.
yes i would recommend getting the greddy kit and type 31 ic. you can pass smog and have 200whp. i dont know about the greddy blue box, it might not like your obd2v2 ecu but i dont see why it wouldnt work...
thats true, but from what i know greddy only make the kit for 98-99 gsr not 2000, thats the big problem. the smog stuff might not work cause its on a differnt yr car with custom piping to fit the 99kit.
i have a 00 gsr with a 96-99 greddy kit on it.
any muffler shop will be able to cut and lengthen the downpipe from the kit to make it reach your cat.
i am not using the greddy blue box and thats why my comments were focusing on whether or not it would work with your ECU. i suspect it will. maybe try calling greddy and asking them this specifically tomorrow.
