aight, i failed a smog test recently here in cali, my car is registered in massachusetts, but i need the smog test to get a sticker to get on base because im in the marine corps.

now, heres the situation. the header i have is an aftermarket ebay header that i got to replace the stock one thatwas fucked. i didnt even think about having to smog it and the ebay header doesnt have a cat on it, so thats most likely why i failed.

but, i have a 5zigen fireball rear section on my hatch, and the lowest part of the canister where it hangs down has a small hole from scraping.

should i patch up that hole? should i go ahead and buy a whole new cat-back setup (which will be the rsr exmag)? should i buy a brand new exhuast manifold and cat coverter? or should i try and find a used one to pass the smog?

 

Well if you dont have a cat on, you need one to pass here in cali =P.

im sure someone on h-t will sell you piping with a cat on it. shoot i have 2 laying around i'll rent them to you if your local.. if you know someone that knows someone you dont even have to drive your car to a smog place just pay... then you can get new stuff or stay with what you got.
