I did a motor swap, 95 ls into an older honda, and I keep getting the code for the vss. It only does it at low speed, like in town. I know my car has the vss signal for the ecu generated in the dash, because it has a cable driven speedo. I'm thinking the integra has a different type of signal from what my speedo cluster is generating, but I should be able to make it compatible with some basic electronics..anyone know what the signal is supposed to look like?

Im lost, but the 95 has an electronic VSS inwhich you should've swapped out your original VSS if Im not mistaken. Not really a 100% there, but then again I have limited knowledge of the earlier integras.

 

you are mistaken..unless you're advocating swapping out the Entire gauge cluster and rewiring my whole dash to be compatible with the electronic vss..F that! I just need to figure out some type of circuit to alter the signal..

 

Put in the original VSS, wire it up just like it was previously (yes, this may involve cutting a few wires) and it should work perfectly.

 

ok, I guess I found it..6k ohm resistor between the vss wire and 12v..
