Distributor cap for JDM H22??
Got a brand new JDM H22 distributor, cap, and rotor. Now my ECU is throwing a Code 9 even though i reset the ecu. I already checked for any busted or frayed wires and all looks good. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

ooo you are in a bind, i don't know where you can get one but now would probably be a good time to switch over to an external coil so you can use regular usdm parts
do you still have the old distributor? or did you buy the car with the swap?

i got the car with the swap. messed up thing is that the srew that holds down the rotor and came loose and spun around inside the cap and busted the distributor and cracked the cap.
I went and picked up a new usdm distributor and swapped out the internal coil in my old one to the new one. there was a wire that connected for the external coil. i just elimated it and it works great and followed the same wiring as my jdm one. i now have a cracked distributor cap that still works fine, but like to get it replaced.
I was not around when they did the wiring for the car for the internal part, so????

wait a minute.... that doesn't make sense b/c the H23 motor uses an external coil and the H22 doesn't... so why shouldn't the dealer not have a H22A1 distributor cap? all i can think of is that they're out of stock...

They said the USDM ones all have external dist caps. i brought mine in and they said i would have to find a JDM one. So???? i even tried checkers, autozone, kragen, napa and they all had the one with the external coil.

IVE CHECKED FOR ANY LOOSE OR FRAYED WIRES, BUT ALL LOOKS GOOD. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

What year is your car and what year is the h22a that you are currently running?
The 5th gen dizzy's differ from the 4th gens because the CKP and CYP sensors are on the oil pump instead of in the dizzy.

Just to correct this, the cap and rotor from the accord work fine.
