reason?

as most here are gonna say at least start off with a manual car... it will save you alot of trouble and hacking... and it will never be perfect... buy a 00 ex, with a standard tranny and after https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/878010

reason is water sucked into the engine and I figured since I had to get a new engine why not get a faster one such as the H22 or something

H22/JDM F20B

Pros
200 hp
H22=156 ft/lbs torque
F20B=145 ft/lbs torque
Great torque
DONT WEIGH THAT MUCH MORE THAN A B SWAP!!
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=684550

Cons
Harder to install than a B/D motor
transmission feel is vague IMHO
Less info out there for the swap (aka, less experience as they are less common)
Price of swap is comperable to a B18C5 after everything is said and done (mounts, etc)

stolen from honda-tech lol credit to Ricey McRicerton

the first thing you should do is convert it to manual. it's not that hard. just get the clutch resevior with pedal and hard line to the tranny. as for the swap, h22 is not a very good swap and is very expensive because you are going to have to buy custom mount and weld it onto the frame. plus, the motor weights like a tank.think about poer to weight ratio. get yourself a b-series motor. more options.

if you knew anything then you would know that the h-series engines don't weigh much more then the b-series

i'm pretty sure the h22 weighs only like 20 or 30 lbs more than a b series. not that much.

its only about 20 pounds heavier h22 123lb's b 104's

a h22 with 200 hp and a B with 150 hp have almost idental power to weight ratio, so why go through the extra hassle

also, dont get a fast engine unless u get a manual transmission, auto+good engine=waste of a good engine.
