map sensor
hello,
I had a buddy come out and check my car out cuz i cudnt get it runnin. well we checked all the fuses well i thought the ecu fuse was good but it was blown. switched it out and it still didnt start. well i had a pr4 ( think thats what it is ) h23 ecu laying around it when i hook that up it throws a code 5. and in the civic book it says map sensor. Well even though its a h23 ecu hooked up cud it be the map sensor? or would it be whatever the h23 code 5 is? I think its a code 5. my check engine light comes on stays on and then goes off and blinks 5 times.

Better than knocking up his 17 year old girlfriend and having to explain to her Vietnam Vet father why he couldn't keep his **** in his pants.
Did I mention that I once fit my entire webcam up my anus?!?

Honda-tech is a really good website...but i think that its made people lazy. Instead of getting off of your *** and doing some troubleshooting, you come in here and expect everyon to tell you exactly what it is. Itll take all of 10min to check your vac lines. OMG WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! Im tired of trying to help people that wont help themselves.
BTW-pr4 is a obd1 LS ecu...and codes are the same no mater what ecu is throwing them.

well i just took a mult-meter out and tested my map sensor. my multimeter is really wierd. my dad really doesnt know how to work it right. it has these options. 600, 200, 20, 2, then 200 then a dividing line and on the bottom it has m and then 20 over m, the just 2m. im not quite sure how to check it. the helms book said with the key on ignition it should read 5 volts. well the highest on any of those it said 2.1. but my car of off with the system on. and my car wont start so i cant test it with the car on. anyone know anything?
