Default ? about rear lower arm bushing?

anyone ever replace this part before? the bushign inside where the bolt holds the shock to the control arm...does the bushing just pop right in or do i gotta do someone majic trick to it lmk gotta get my **** goin tomorrow

Just take it to a machine shop and let them press it out .

i cant, im settin up a new suspension....first off the bushing (the rubber piece) is coming out along with the bolt that holds the shock in place, why? i have no idea

yes, thats what i did to take out the bolt and it took the rubber along with it but ? is how do i put one in? pop right back in? oh well i'll find out tomorrow when i do this

the bushing seized to the bolt, and it sounds like you ripped your bushing out..

you need the torch to get the rest of the bushing out of the control arm before you can put the new one in

i gotta put my mugen ones in and don't wanna spend 150 bucks

It's a 10 minute job if you have a press. I'd take the arms somewhere and pay them for 1/2 hour labor to press out the old and push in the new ones. My wife gave me a press for Christmas, I've found a million uses for it already.

the bushing seized onto the bolt.

cut the bolt off, remove the strut, take it to a machine shop, theyll press out the old, press in the new for around 5 bucks.

I recently had the same bolt seize up on me. I had to use a grinder to cut the bolt, then I removed the lower control arm. I used a torch on the bushing, then a hack saw to cut the outer bushing shell, and a screwdriver and hammer to remove the outer shell. Then I used a cheap arbor press to press in the new bushing, but you can use a C-clamp or vise to install the new bushing.

Oh, I used ES bushings which can be installed easily compared to stock bushings.

thanks for all the input guys, yeh i got the the shock and everything off, just gotta take the old bushing out and put in the new one and everythign should be ready to be bolt back on
