Default double din lcd unit in a civic

Just wondering if anyone has pics or knows of anyone that has installed a double din unit into an eg civic? Thinking of doing this in my eg by relocating the climate control and putting a double din unit.

I have done it before and it takes some patience. Have a plan before you get started and expect to run into some snags just dont let them get to you. Sorry I dont have pics with me right now but if done right it looks clean.

if you get the optional audio console it already has a double din opening.

Pretty easy in an 01. You said "Civic", you didn't say what year.

if you have 1337 5k1lz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u can do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

--------------

you are going to have to relocate the climate control... and modify the trim.....

or u can some how make your own climate control unit out of newer honda units...should be possible...

take the 2000ish climate control.. the one with the *****.. cut it up and fit it into a din... if possible...

the only thing is the heat slider... which is powerd by ur hand on the eg is powered by a motor or something on the 2000 i think...

other than that.. u might just have to mess with the wiring just to get climate control...

------------------

U can also be SUPER 1337 by devloping a way to integrate it into ur DD LCD...
anything is possible, with a little programming, a computer... motors.. and other wires and things...

- did i mention i never did any of this??? just thought it up... eheheheheheheh..

It can be done with the audio console, but its a tight fit... as far as the dash goes, you will have to remove the climate control and move it down. Easier said than done due to the cables.

Why not just get a flip out screen instead of a double-din?
