I was wondering if anyone on here got pics of a custom double din install in an EG Civic? I heard of people relocating the climate control unit to do this but did not find any pics anywhere? I would like to do this so I am curious about it!

I think a flip down double din dvd lcd would be ultra cool, especially a custom install in a single din car ...

Why didn't you just get JDM audio console that already had the double din opening slot?..it's easier that way,i guess

What are you going to do with your heater controls?

Id have got the JDM centre console too and mounted it there

Well the car is only driven in summer on nice days, mostly weekends and it already does not have an ac. Also I am not sure the JDM console would have fit right because of the way my H22 shifter cables run where the console would go.

I am relocating the climate control box to the glove box - guess I might want to turn the regular blower fan on sometimes...

The main reason I did was for 1. I had ALL the materials to do it already, 2. My interior is fully customised so I thought this would compliment it with the custom 2din dvd lcd install.

Looks great - is that the AVH-P4000DVD? So did you relocate the climate controls to the JDM console or did it come with them and you hooked em up?

It's a Pioneer AVIC-D3. I molded in Integra (DC2) climate controls into the OEM audio console.

Thanks. And before anyone asks, yes, the climate control unit works and it is plug and play.

a friend of mine is doing this in his EH2. the car is not gonna be daily driven so he's taking the heater/ac controls completely out. he has an electric heater that he custom mounted under the dash. it has three speeds and will only blow to the windshield just in case it ever fogs up. the heater has like a three speed dial. kinda cool cuz he'll never have to run coolant lines to the firewall... i'll show him this thread...

Yeah on my EG the climate control is both electronic (two wire harnesses) and also has a cable for the heater control valve. I just might not even put my climate control back because the car is not even driven in any kind of bad weather which includes just cold days. It's basically my summertime-weekend-cruisin-funtime-car lol.
