Default oil pan has a FAT dent

at night, i drove over a fairly big rock. i thought it was a plastic bag so i didn't dodge it. its been about 3 months and now that i went to change my oil, i noticed the pan is totally dented in. thank god there's no leaks. the car runs and drives fine. i was wondering if i should really replace it or if it should be ok to drive it to way it is. is there anything special about the internal of the pan. if i need to replace it, i was thinking about maybe getting a better pan than a GSR one. what the deal with baffled pan?

leaks would have been the least of your worries...if the bottom of your pan pushed up onto the oil pick up you could have starved your engine of oil ...and bye bye motor...Id personally replace it and the oil pick up..just my .02

i've had some pretty dented up pans and never had any problems... as long as the pickup isnt obscured and its not leaking you'll be fine. if youre going aftermarket moroso makes a nice unit, but its kind of over-kill unless you're roadracing or doing something that calls for a larger baffled setup.
