Headlight Problem, Help?
Well after searching on here I have found verious answers. I want to know if anyone has had the SAME problem as myself.
I was changing my ecu and disconnected my battery. Putting the connectors back onto the battery I was using a long extension. Well long story short, I ******* touched the positive with the negative with the extension(jumped like a mother) and dropped it out of my hand. To my disbelief the extension landed on the Negative and positive terminal and started to smoke and spark like the fourth of July. It was on there for like 10 seconds as a ran into the garage to find something to hit it off with, was not going to touch it with my hands.
Well the battery was toast and I'm glad the thing didnt blow up on me. I put a new battery in and it started but with hesitation.
Everything seem find with, what I did notice is the fuel pump is a LOT louder and sounds weird and pluses sometimes.
My headlights and "only headlights" dim at low rpm, below 3000, and once I get above 3000 the light up nicely.
Is this my alternator you think? All my fuses are good in cabin and in engine bay. New battery. All connections seem fine. Nothing else is dim in cabin.
Anything happen to any of you like this?
Thanks,
John
