Default lsvtec build: used pistons, new rings?

just bought used civic si pistons with 35k miles on them. i am going to put them in my ls block with gsr head to help raise compression. do i need to change out the piston rings or will i be okay as is? the pistons have low mileage and the rings look to be fine, but im not sure if i have to do this or not? thanks for any help.

are u sure the pistons are still good.. cause usually when you press them off the rods it ruins the pistons.. but new rings for sure

are you serious? theyre still attached to the rods, but i wasnt aware that taking them off would ruin them. is that correct? isnt there a way to do it without ruining them? like by warming them up and cooling the pins?
