aiight guys i got a h22a head with a h23 block and im throwing codes 3 and 12..i kno my map sensor[#3] isnt in but where would it go? and as for the EGR valve[#12] i dont understand because i bought a brand new one..i also see that on the egr valve it has a valve, maybe a hose has to connect to it? im not sure..can someone point me in the right direction with this..i juss need to kno where the map sensor goes and what problem with the egr would be..many thanks in advance

Your egr solenoid might not be opening which could be causing the CEL. The solenoid is in front of the driver's side shock tower.

try to listen to the solenoid, I think you should be able to hear the pressure released sound like when you turn off the ignition if it's working. I had that Code before and I never heard that sound till I replaced the solenoid. You won't be able to hear from inside so you might want to open the hood and then turn off the car and try to listen close to the solenoid. you should hear it shortly after you turn off the car. I'm not sure, but you might wanna check. good luck...
