Which one?
Alright guys, I have spend numerous hours, days, even weeks, maybe a month researching and debating which head to swap. Ok here is the scoop, I have the Prelude S model, and I want to swap out the head for something different, and I am down to these two, F22b1 or h23a1 head. I am going turbo in the soon future. Which one do you think that I should do? which one is better for the turbo?
FYI, I know how to do both swaps, with help from my brother in law
In short, which one whould you do, and why...?
thanks!

Yes I know that what you said is true, but, the idea of having vtec is pretty cool, just as in the Accords, my buddy's friend has a 94 sohc vtec fully build, and it pulls pretty hard, but all I am asking, which one is better for turbo.
Thanks I R tylor for the feedback!

better aftermarket selection of turbo cams for one thing with the h23a. did i hear someone say crower? and rarity beyond the wimpy f22b. h23a FTW
DOHC is more tunable anyway since you can tune both intake AND exhaust cams seperately...

alright you guys, thanks for the information. It seems to be like h23 head swap for the win!!! BTW I have a 96, so which means OBD 2, and, well since I am going for the DOHC swap, it means I got to get the h23 ecu, should I just go ahead and do the obd 1 conversion? or get an obd2 ecu. FYI I don't know much about ecu at all, any help will do. thanks!

If you use the h23 ecu, you will run a little rich because the h23 has higher compression. Since you are going to go turbo, it would be a good idea to buy a conversion harness and chip a p06. You will save a few bucks and some time in the long run.

I'm going turbo, so the iron sleeves in my f22 will do, thanks for the opinion.

ok, I just got reading all about ecu blah blah....well...my question is that, should I just run a p14 + hondata? turbo build won't happen atleast until next spring. so what should I run for ecu? p14+hondata? I'm pretty sure that I'm going to run rich cause the h23 has a higher compression than the f22.

He's going turbo, the high compression of the h series is no good.

I don't believe you can chip a p14, but I'm not familiar with hondata. I suggested a P06 because they can be had for cheaper than ecu's that work with VTEC.

hmm...you want me to use a civic ecu? ok, I guess I really dont know anything about ecu's as I thought.
