I found a local shop that will install a DEI Avital Alarm/Keyless entry for $175. Is that a good deal, and are those decent alarms?

 

All DEI products are good. So it sounds reasonable. Try and get a Viper 350 if you can.

 

I had that kit in my old car, it was great, never had problems with it, and it lasted a long time. Im not sure on the price, but it sounds like a good deal.

 

What is the model of the Avital, $175 installed with key-less is pretty good, [for any Avital alarm] depending on what kind of job they do installing it, key-less on a Honda is easy, so it does not surprise me it is included, but all connections should be soldered, no butt connectors, "T" taps, or twist caps. 94

DEI is a good brand. Just bought the viper 560xv and it came in today!

 

great alarm just make sure the install is up to par.

$175 installed with keyless entry is not too bad. I have had my share of different alarms...and DEI seems to be the most reputable brand out there.
