Default Strongest Transmission?

What is the strongest B-series transmission? I want the strongest transmission, but I don't want the gears to be too close either. I know the ITR has the tightest gearing, but is it any stronger than a GSR or LS transmission? When my setup is done, it should have around 350-400 HP. Thanks.

The internals of all b series tranny's will hold that much power. I don't know if there is any difference in material quality that is used between b16, b18, or type r. You may want to invest in a strong LSD with a taller gear tranny depending on the size turbo you run.

Sorry, I don't know that much about transmissions, but would an LS transmission with an LSD installed change the gearing at all?

That is a very interesting question. I am actually not sure about the effect an aftermarket LSD will have on the trannies overall gear ratio. I do know this- the LSD is a separate entity from the gearset itself but I have heard (and I am probably mistaken) that LSD's can effect the final drive. I honestly don't know.

all the internals in all the b series trannies are basically the same. ive rebuilt several and they all look the same.. pretty well built.. but the problem with the trannies isnt really the internals... although alot of times the bearing on the countershaft likes to break..... but i think with high horsepower tegs the problem will be the actuall housing probably shattering to pieces from all the power being dropped on sticky tires in a drag scenario...

but internal wise... there is no difference in build quality between the diff trannies..... well i can speak on behalf of the b16,gsr,ls trannies cause i have worked on those personally. i assume the type r is the same..... ive had a type r transmission but it was brand new so i never opened it... i know the rsx type r tranny has more synchronizers for perticular gears than diff models.... but i think all the integra b series trannies had the same amount of everything and could handle the same tolerances..

Ok thanks guys. But can anyone tell whether or not the LSD will change the final drive?
