I'm not talking about the whole tranny just the LSD

I believe it should. I put ITR internals, including the LSD into my LS case. So I don't see why the LSD wouldn't fit. The diffs should be the same size, the only difference being the internals of the diff.

Do a search on this. I answered this a couple times already.
Anywho...the ITR LSD won't fit in directly. You need a 4.400 final drive ring gear from another b-series tranny that has a 4.400 final drive. (GSR, ITR, B16) Besides that, you also need the countershaft from a 4.400 tranny as well.

Keep in mind that even though the 4.266 LS final drive ring gear and countershaft idle gear have the same number of teeth as it's 4.400 counterpart, it won't work due to slight differences in tolerances.

Just look around for the ring gear and countershaft in classifieds. I got my countershaft for $75 here on HT. The ring gear I had lying around. I bought the ITR LSD off of Ebay.

Good luck.
