Default brand new car almost stolen..need new alarm

hey guys my 2006 liberty was broken into while i was at work and theres no way i would have heard the alarm since i work in a mall...the only thing that saved my car was probably that it needs the key to work or it wont work at all some immoblizer key chip **** or whatever...anyways i need something thats gonna alert me if someones ******* with my **** cuz im not letting this happen again...oh and yes they tried to hot wire my car but instead they just ruined the whole ignition system which fell out into my hand i dont know if this matters but my key has a built in chip and unlock/lock buttons INTO the key so i dunno if this can be rewired or not..please help all the jeep forums are pretty much dead for this so any help would be appreciated

You can have the ignition replaced and recoded. It'll cost you a pretty penny though...

But if you want something that will alert you inside a mall, you could try a CompuStar or a Viper 791xvr, but depending on how far away you park and how deep in the mall you work, it might not get the page signal either...

what do you mean by your "key rewired"? there are no wires in your key.
sorry dont mean to sound smart but it was a pretty dumb question. I guess you mean can you have an aftermarket alarm tied into your key. Short answer for your purposes, No.

Long answer, you could if u didnt want a 2-way pager system. But alerting you if someone is breaking in seems to be what you want. There are plenty of 2-way systems out there. I would also recomend a battery backup, which will make it very difficult to bypass the alarm.

Layer your security, maybe get additional sirens and LEDs as well, the more obstacles you put in the way the less likely someone is to f with your car. Highly visable LEDs are great because they can prevent a thief from even touching the car.
Varad makes a large assortment of LED products, including scanners and LEDs that light up the housing as well (they shine huge).

Get a Compustar... http://www.compustar.com/ the 2W900FM-A it will get you up to 3000ft. of 2way range get them to wire the door locks so when you arm/disarm the alarm it will also lock/unlock the doors, You may also need an "interface module". 94
