WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PUT AN OBD1 Z6 INTO AN OBDO WAGON???????????????????
right now i have a 1988 honda civic wagon AWD that has a ceased motor. i was wondering how much work is it to put a z6 into my car. the reason why i ask is because i found an OBD1 z6 in really good shape for only $200 for the complete engine minus the tranny.
thanks

stevn</TD></TR></TABLE>ill help you the best i can (others can fill in what i forgot).
1) you need to make a "jumper harness" to connect your ecu (i reccomend going to http://www.rywire.com )
2) you need a p28 ecu (or convert a p06 by chipping it.....i'd recommend http://www.xenocron.com )
3) you need a obd-1 conversion harness (again go to http://www.rywire.com)
4) as for the tranny dont buy a "matching" tranny for that motor.....you can only fit tranny's from 88-91 so look for an 90-91 si tranny, throw in a new clutch while your at it (not you could use a tranny newer than 91 but it would take a bit of work to make it work)
thats all i can think of right now (im sure theres more) so for the most part you just need to wire/re-wire things (sounds easy enough....but you will still run into problems) im doing a z6 in my '90 crx
thanks
