b18a1 tranny wont come off
i got my hands on a b18a1 from a 90' teg, it has a Auto tranny, which i wanted to take off, and for an odd reason the son of a b*tch isnt coming off, all the bolts are out, the starter is off, and btw the motor and tranny are on a crane (not in the car)
theres not even a gap between the seal yet. i tried hitting it still nothing, u think its just the seal thats super stuck, i know i didnt forget any bolts. thanks, any help would be great

you got that arm going from the bottom of the block to the trans also right?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yeah there is no seals from the tranny to the block.
use a pry bar or a flate head and hit it with a hammer to open a little crack
see if that works.

Did you take off the torque converter bolts? Unlike a manual trans, autos have bolts going from flywheel to torque converter. You access these by taking off lower dust shield, spin the trans to access, there should be about 6 of them.

its a hell of alot easier to unbolt the tc bolts first, especcially if the engine/trans is still in the car, it would have to pull perfectly strait out about 3 inches for the tc shaft to come out.

thats not whats holing it on, i took my auto tranny of with out removing the torque converter. id say you forgot a bolt (lower tranny bolt, the 2 t-bracket bolts, or you forgot to remove the drive plate cover). once all the bolts come loose the tranny will seperate a little bit.
good luck
