Default Can anybody recomend some short-throw non-adjustable shocks?

I need replacement shocks for my CRX. It is lowered 2" in 15" rims and the stock shocks are almost gone. I need some shocks that are designed for a lowered car. I doubt that I can afford the adjustable shocks, so an ordinary short-throw shock will be fine.

Can any of you guys reccomend some brands? I want good quality, but remember that my car is just for daily driving, and I don't really race or auto-x it. Thanks!

Go with some Tokico Blues. Theyre non-adjustable and cheap...I got mine for $63 each. It would work well with a 2 inch drop.

"Short-throw" shocks, if you're referring to what I think you're referring to, would be like the ones that Koni makes specially to go along with the Neuspeed springs. They have a shorter stroke than the regular Koni's. These cost an arm and a leg from what I've seen, and the regular Koni's aren't cheap either.

I think any shortened-stroke shock will be fairly costly, but you'll be fine with a sturdy N/A shock like the Bilsteins or even the Tokico's (won't last as long as the Bilsteins, so I've been told). I have a 2" drop on Bilsteins and haven't bottomed out once. Didn't even cut the bumpstops.

I bought my Bilsteins from Shox.com for about $359 for four (they're not cheap, but they are very durable!!). The prices may have gone up a bit since then, you can go to their site and get a quote. Probably the best money I will ever spend on my car - a guy there with a '90 hatch with a swap said he's been on them for 75,000 miles and they're good as new.
