I added a rubber bushing on mine and the rattles went away.

Put it where the short throw and the shift rod connect (under the car)

Does it hit the exhaust at all?

And that small ring on the top of the shiftboot, it can rattle a lot if it's broken any.

id say you need look back over what you installed, did you forget any of the bushings or is the shifter hitting the heat shields?

when i was trying to fix mine i got confused with people saying bushings.. but meaning the rubber o-rings. the rod that goes through the hole at the bottom of the shifter (this is the rod that the bolt goes through, which connects the shifter and shift linkage together) should have 4 grooves and 4 rubber o-rings should go in them.

the B&M shifter rattles because the 4 ORANGE o-rings that came with the shifter were smaller than the stock BLACK ones. I threw my stock o-rings back on.. and it still rattles somewhat when i let off the gas in 5th... or when i am in high rpms (6500+).

i forgot where i read this (and i havent had time to do it myself) but some people went to home depot.. lowes.. or whatever you have.. they bought some o-rings that were larger than the stock black ones.. but small enough to fit *VERY* snugly through the shifter. they threw those on and the rattle was gone.
