replacing ps rack bushings in 94-01 teg rack
i just got a 94 teg rack along with the ES rack bushings. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT
i need to know if anyone has replaced them ,and if you need anything else to install them. for example, i know on the civic manual rack you have to replace a lock washer.

i didn't replace anything when i put my es ps rack bushings in. it just took some effort to get the smaller stock bushings out...also, sometimes the helm's manual says like replace this bolt or this washer, but imo it's not really necessary.
it's not too difficult. you don't really have to take the rack apart, just remove the bolts that attach it to the frame and let it hang.
well there are 5 bushings. 4 are the same and then there's a huge one. i dont even know where any of them go. the good thing is i have the rack just sitting out of the car since im changing racks.
ah nvm. these things were a waste of money. i didnt even know they didnt replace any internal bushings on the rack.
on me for not researching.

There are no internal bushings. There are internal seals. I took the guts out an Integra PS rack and built them into my EK rack to get a better steering ratio.
The whole point of these is to keep the rack from slopping back and forth when you're cornering. If the rack moves during cornering, you get steering input you didn't dial it. I put them in and am pretty pleased. I hate poly bushings most of the time but, for some applications where they're just holding things in place, they're great.
