Default I converted from ABS to NON-ABS, now my brakes are locked

I have a 92 Integra GS-R.

I converted from ABS to non-ABS while my engine was out. I got a proportioning valve from a 90 RS, the brake lines, non-ABS MC, and bought 2 premade 8 inch lines and custom bent them to fit from the prop valve to the one rear prop valve.

I bled all the lines, made sure clean fluid was flowing with no bubbles at each caliper.

Now my brakes are locked on.

When I bled the lines, the engine was not in the car so the brake booster was not on. Would this cause my problem?

you would have to think yes because when you just put you breaks on with out them on they stiffen up soo i would think that is your problem. soo i wouldnt worry about it till your engine goes in and if its still a problem your taking the swap out again and finding the cause. but its logical considering you dont have any vacume source which softens up your breaks when the car is on.

k i just found the article i was looking for on g2ic.

I guess I either need to adjust my pushrod length or add 2 washers between the MC and the booster. I think I'll try adjust the pushrod first.. adding 2 washers doesnt seem right.

I did notice when i put the non ABS MC on, I had to push it a little harder to get the nuts on. I knew it was hitting the pushrod, just didnt know it would cause this problem..

Ill check and fix tomorrow.

yes thats what it is my RS break master cylinder fit onto my GSR break booster but the rod stuck out to far on it so instead of adjusting i just used the RS break booster.

if your brakes are locked without the pedal being pressed, your pushrod is most likely out of adjustment

yes if u adjust the rod it will work. its hard to explain how to do it exactly but its a lot like adjusting your throttle.

The title itself should be a clear warning of what'll happen if you dont have ABS lol

on our 90-93 integra w/ABS, the ABS unit leaks over the years, and cost about $300 to replace. and instead of spending all that money, I spent $50 and just converted to non-abs, plus it also cleans up the engine bay.
