What's the worst case scenerio of not having a resistor box?
I have a OBD1 h22a swapped into my eh2. I purchased the car with the engine already swapped and today a friend noticed that there isn't a resistor box at all. The car has been running like this for at least 3 years.
What can happen if one isn't installed? Since I've been running it like this for so long can I see problems by installing one now?
I've searched all through the archives and found lots of info but none told what's the outcome of not running a resistor box.

the use of resistor box depends on what injectors your using, and what ecu. if its been ran for 3 years then most likely this guy knew that and set it up accordingly. but for ***** and giggles find out what ecu and injectors you have, and we'll go from there.
yeah i too say its prolly already setup to run without. i doubt it would work otherwise.
if youre lookin for a box, i saw a few on ebay today pretty cheap.

it's an obd1 P13 ecu. How do I find out what injectors I have?
Upon inspecting the car after I purchased I replaced misc. missing bolts, re-installed the throttle cable and tons of other things that wern't right. I really wouldn't doubt that they completely forgot to put a resistor box when one was needed.

Sorry to surprise you but they are peak and hold injectors. I am lucky that no damage occurred for 3 years. Needless to say, I now have a resistor box installed.

what was the resistance across the injectors?</TD></TR></TABLE>
The injectors have a resistance of exactly 3-3.1 ohms. They are low resistance injectors which lasted 3 years without a resistor box.

93-96 h22a motors come with 345cc low resistance peak & hold injectors.
